Music Era Summer Music Camp

Since we’re a music therapy company, you can expect groups to not only include Swifties’ favorite songs, but also be used to learn about mental health, socializing with peers, and self-expression!

Participants do NOT need to be current clients with Aspire, all are welcome! Groups are split up based on age range and may be covered through Medicaid Waiver, ESA funding, or private pay.

Registration closes May 31 or when spots are full. Spots are offered on a first come, first serve basis and are limited to 8 per group. You will only be considered registered after receiving a paid invoice or approved Medicaid Waiver budget.

We’re excited to offer a Taylor Swift themed music camp this summer!

Dates: June 23 - June 26

Location: 6108 Maplecrest Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46835

Group Times:

  • 7 - 10 year olds: 9:30am - 11:00am

  • 11 - 14 year olds: 11:15am - 12:45pm

  • Teen / Young Adult: 1:30pm - 3pm

  • Teen / Young Adult: 3:15pm - 4:45pm

  • We’ll provide participants the opportunity to do things like:

    • Sing along to “Secret Songs” (like the Eras Tour!)

    • Write their own versions of Taylor’s songs - through songwriting, mashups, and song lyric strip journaling

    • Make friendship bracelets to share with peers

    • Make “ME!” themed collages to share about themselves

    • Discuss coping skills & relaxation

    • Structured instrument play

    • Swift themed games for socialization

    • …and more!

    These are meant to be examples and are subject to change.

  • We want to set our participants up for success and will certainly be making adaptations throughout to meet each participant where they are at! Some skills that would be helpful for participants to best benefit from this group include:

    • Able to follow directions

    • Able to communicate in phrases (verbally or with AAC!)

    • Have some self-expression (or enjoy creative arts)

    • Have some independent fine motor skills (grasping instruments - can adapt with larger handles)

    • Able to stay in the session area for the duration of the group time (besides going to the bathroom!)

    Our groups will further expand on these skills and other goal areas.

  • $125 for 4 days, per participant

    Private Pay and ESA will be sent an Invoice.

    For Medicaid Waiver, we request 6 hours of budget for the month of June. A budget must be approved in advance for the month of June in order to be fully registered.

    • No refunds will be provided once registered.

    • Participants must have their own transportation and be picked up on time at the end of each group. Staff / Guardians may leave the premises unless pick up is late, in which case they will be asked to stay on site.

    • Water will be available on site. Please refrain from bringing food, unless medically necessary.

    • This camp is inspired by popular music and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any specific artist.
